Tip 5: A job half done

Key to success is understanding exactly where your prospect is in the buying process. Research shows most customers are 60% or more through the buying process before their first interaction with a salesperson. The massive amount of information available online helps people to do their research well before they’re ready to speak to a salesperson.

Don’t waste your time being redundant, take the time to determine where they are in the process and adjust your conversation accordingly. Know that the sales process is fluid and the key to success is being able to be flexible to meet your client’s needs. If your job is already half-done for you, take advantage of that and meet your customer where they are in the process. They will appreciate that you’ve listened and you will be able to jump ahead in the process!
