Hump Day How To: Prepare the Best Live Pitch Imaginable

hump-day-how-toIt’s Monday morning, 8:57am, and your biggest presentation of the month is starting in three minutes. The biggest question on your mind is: am I really, truly prepared?

Well, fear not – ClearSlide is here to help. Follow these 3 easy steps in preparation for your next Live Pitch to ensure you have the most successful and informative meeting possible.

  1. Bookmark your content beforehand. We give you unlimited storage in your ClearSlide account, which is pretty powerful – but can also be pretty overwhelming if you don’t keep your content organized. Our bookmark feature makes organization seamless, by letting you keep your most-frequently-used content easy to find and present at any time. To bookmark your presentation:Simply click the star icon next to the name of the presentation that you are using for your meeting later.

This will bring your content into your Bookmarked folder on the Content page…

…and your content will also now appear at the top of your Live Pitch dropdown – so you can pull it up in no time for that 9am meeting.

  2. Send out your viewer’s link prior to the meeting. There are countless benefits to having your own unique link with your ClearSlide account, but the best one (in my humble opinion) is that it’s such an easy way to connect with your clients. To make sure your meeting starts promptly, simply send your Viewer’s Link to your client about ten minutes beforehand:You’ll see your Viewer’s Link on your homepage.
image02Copy the link, and paste it into an e-mail to your client.
image00Your client can then easily click on your link and – voila! – go straight to your presentation. This also eliminates any excuses for being late on their end (another plus, for sure.)If you are ever scheduling back-to-back meetings, sharing private information, or just want to control who attends your meeting, you can simply use an access code (and personalize it for your audience). Just click on Access Code when you’re in your pitch, and select the type of access you want! You can then share the code with your participants.

  3. Before beginning your presentation, take Roll Call of your attendees. Chances are that if this is your biggest meeting of the month, there are multiple people attending. And it often happens that your client is so excited about your presentation, they invite additional people to sit in on it too. Wouldn’t it be great to keep track of who exactly attends your presentation, so you can follow up with each person afterwards? Roll call allows you to collect basic contact information from meeting attendees. To turn roll call for active viewers on your link to track who attends:Start your Live Pitch a couple minutes before your meeting begins.
    Click on Details.

    Click on Take Roll Call.

    Click turn on Roll Call.
image06Now when each of your clients joins your link, they will be prompted to fill in their basic info before they can join the actual presentation.
    image07
You will now be able to view your active viewers by name under your Viewer Details button. image01
At the end of the meeting, when you click End Pitch and Save your Pitch Recap, you will then be able to view all the details of each active viewer, so you can appropriately follow up with each person who attended. image10

With just these 3 quick and easy steps, you will be 100 times more prepared before your meeting, 1000 times smoother in your delivery, and 1,000,000 times more successful in your client follow-up afterwards.

Anything we can do to make those deals close (and make that Monday morning meeting a tad less stressful)! Coffee is, of course, an optional add-on. If you have any additional questions on how to make your meeting successful, reach out to your relationship manager.

Happy pitching!
