ClearSlide Names Dustin Grosse as CEO for Next Phase of Growth

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – September 1, 2015

ClearSlide, the leading digital engagement platform for sales and marketing success, today announced Dustin Grosse as its new Chief Executive Officer. Grosse has held senior leadership positions at Microsoft, DocuSign, PlaceWare, and most recently served as ClearSlide’s Chief Operating Officer. ClearSlide’s easy-to-use content and communications tools with real-time analytics helps sellers, marketers and leaders more successfully engage with insight to achieve continually better business results.

ClearSlide has raised $90 million to date from leading investors, including Greylock, Bessemer Ventures, Social+Capital, and Felicis. Over the past three years, ClearSlide has grown revenue and customers at more than 70% CAGR and was recently recognized in the top three “50 Best Companies to Sell For” by Selling Power.

Grosse has communicated that his top priorities are to focus additional investments on the company’s most attractive customer segments and aligning all operations to accelerate the company’s growth rate and profitability. “We’re committed to extending our market leading position with strategy and execution focused on service to our loyal, growing customer base,” said Grosse.

Grosse joined ClearSlide in August 2014 after serving as SVP and Chief Marketing Officer of DocuSign, where he built and scaled the company’s initial marketing, business development, industry, and e-commerce teams over four years of rapid growth. Grosse also spent eight years with Microsoft Corporation in various global sales and marketing roles following the acquisition of SaaS pioneer PlaceWare web-conferencing. Grosse has held other leadership positions with other venture-backed and publicly traded technology companies including Covad Communications, Voxeo, and OnFiber, and previously worked at McKinsey & Company and Procter & Gamble.

Lieb, who previously served as ClearSlide CEO, will continue to serve as an active ClearSlide Board Member, and ClearSlide Co-Founder Jim Benton will move to a strategic advisor and Board observer role. Lieb and Benton founded ClearSlide seven years ago following success at Evite, where Lieb was also a Co-Founder.
