New Salesforce integration enhancements: Email and Content View Tracking!

Recently, we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Salesforce App Exchange. As a Gold ISV Partner, we are always looking for ways to improve our customer experience with our ClearSlide for Salesforce Connector App. One of the things we’ve been working on, is improving the accessibility within Salesforce of ClearSlide engagement data. This has yielded a major improvement in the ClearSlide-Salesforce integration, now making it possible to push information around recipient view and open details directly to the tracked activities that are being created in Salesforce when ClearSlide email actions are performed. By pushing the ‘view alert’ data directly to Sales Cloud, users can now easily rank and score contacts and leads; funneling prospective clients based directly on real customer engagement.

Currently, if an organization has synced their ClearSlide and Salesforce environments, when an Email is sent using Clearslide, an Activity is automatically created in Salesforce.

With the new improvements, you will see two new fields on the Activity: one noting when the Email has been viewed and one for marking the Content/Presentation in that email has been clicked!

When the recipient opens the Email, ClearSlide will recognize this and automatically update the “ClearSlide Email Viewed” checkbox in Salesforce.pasted-image-0-3

When the attached Content/Presentation, is clicked by the recipient, ClearSlide will recognize this and automatically update the “ClearSlide Content Viewed” checkbox in Salesforce.pasted-image-0-2

These checkboxes can be then used in any report or view in Salesforce to allow for advanced data analysis directly based on customer engagement. A quick, but powerful, example would be to create a mailing filter campaign: Upon sending an initial campaign to a list of contacts/leads, the list can be drilled down to only display the recipients who interacted with the sent content. This will allow for easy prioritization of recipients from the original list, so that efforts can be easily focused on the customers showing the greatest initial interest.

Setting up this new functionality is a breeze. The latest ClearSlide for Salesforce package is available for download through the ‘Get It Now’ button in our AppExchange listing. To begin the process for implementation just reach out to your ClearSlide Account Manager and let them know that there is interest in using these new features. The ClearSlide Sales Engineering team will work with your Salesforce Administrators to make sure the functionality is set up and working properly.
